From the Hand is a celebration of writing made lovingly and slowly, in resistance to dwindling attention spans and generative AI that threaten to erode the creative landscape.
About the Founder
Angelina Danae
After more than a decade spent as a writer, editor, and strategist in the marketing/PR world, Angelina Danae pivoted to give attention to the stories calling from within.
After creating From the Hand to house those stories, Angelina expanded FTH’s offerings to provide opportunities for fellow emerging writers pursuing their own stories.
Our 10% Commitment
From the Hand publishes and shares poetry, essays, and stories written by humans and provides opportunities for writers through annual contests and residencies.
Any financial support received by From the Hand is subject to our 10% commitment, a promise to pass on 10% to other organizations and individuals doing the work to support writers.
